What has changed
In the Bachaloria you must complete 60% of the assessments in every subject to sit the first exam. Most of those assessments happen at school:
- Weekly assessment (20)
- Homework and class participation (15)
- Behaviour and attendance (10)
- Two monthly assessments (40)
- Student project (15)
So a student who skips school for a tutoring centre loses out rather than gaining. The 60% rule
Do you need extra help?
Perhaps, if:
- There is a subject you don't understand from school.
- You want to raise a subject that matters for your faculty.
- You need someone to follow you each week and organise your time.
The options
- School support groups: the ministry offers revision and support groups.
- A tutoring centre: but not at the expense of school. If the times clash, school comes first.
