University admission with the Bachaloria: how it works

The short answer

University entry is through coordination: by your total (out of 600) and your ranked preferences.
Admission rules are the same for both systems: the Bachaloria and Thanaweya Amma.
Within your track: you apply to the faculties linked to your track. If your total does not reach one faculty, you are placed in another on the same track according to your total.

Faculties by track

Medicine and Life Sciences: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Science, Physiotherapy, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture.
Engineering and Computer Science: Engineering, Computing and AI, Urban Planning, Applied Arts, Architecture.
Business: Commerce, Economics and Political Science, Business Administration, Law, Management Information Systems.
Arts and Humanities: Mass Communication, Languages, Law, Social Work, Education, Tourism and Hotels.

How is the total calculated?

600 marks: 400 from the second year and 200 from the third, taking the higher of your two attempts in each subject. What the Bachaloria total is out of

What is still to be announced?

The minimum totals and each faculty's exact conditions. The coordination office announces these each year. The first Bachaloria cohort enters coordination in summer 2028. Follow the official announcements, and don't trust "expected cut-off" numbers on social media.
