The short answer
History is a common second-year Bachaloria subject: every student on all four tracks takes it, and its mark out of 100 counts towards the 600 total. That makes it one sixth of your total whatever your track.
Why it matters
- It is common to every track, even Medicine and Engineering.
- It is an essay subject by nature: "explain", "compare" and "give reasons" are the heart of the essay half.
- Science-track students tend to underestimate it, which is exactly why it makes a difference to the total.
