The summer before the second Bachaloria year: an eight-week plan

Finished the first year? This summer comes before the first year that counts. An eight-week plan: choose your track, try the specialised subjects and strengthen what you will need, without burning the holiday.

Why this summer is different

Because what follows is the second Bachaloria year: the first year that counts, holding 400 of the 600. This summer is a chance to start relaxed rather than behind.

The plan: eight weeks, an hour or two a day

Weeks 1–2: rest properly

Rest is part of the plan. Don't open a book.

Week 3: decide your track

Week 4: try the two specialised subjects

Each track offers a choice of two. Watch the first two lessons of both. On GoBachaloria the first five videos of every subject are free.

Weeks 5–6: strengthen the foundations

  • Medicine or Engineering: revise first-year Maths and Integrated Science.
  • Business: first-year Maths.
  • Arts: read and write every day.
  • Everyone: Arabic and English, which stay with you in the second year on every track.

Week 7: get used to writing

Half the second-year exams are essays. Write a paragraph a day about anything you have read. Why

Week 8: get ready

Finished first-year Programming on Qureo?

Read From Qureo to the second year.
